Sara Lowengard grew up in the Syracuse area. Ms. Lowengard graduated from Hobart and William Smith in 2002. She received her Juris Doctorate Degree from Northeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center in 2006. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York.

Ms. Lowengard was an Associate Attorney with Sonneborn, Spring & O’Sullivan, then with Green & Seifter Attorneys, PLLC before becoming an Associate Attorney with Macht, Brenizer & Gingold, P.C. Ms. Lowengard represents clients in support matters, custody/visitation matters and Family Offense proceedings in Family Court. Ms. Lowengard is also an Attorney for Children. She also represents clients in matrimonial matters.

Ms. Lowengard is a member of the New York State Bar Association, and is the Fifth Judicial District Delegate for the New York State Bar Association Family Law Section. She is a Director-At-Large on the Central New York Women’s Bar Association Board. Ms. Lowengard volunteers with the Vera House Legal Clinic. She previously volunteered as a Special Advocate with Vera House and volunteered with the Say Yes Legal Clinic. Ms. Lowengard also volunteered with the Talk to a Lawyer programs through Volunteer Lawyers Project of Onondaga County, Inc. In 2015, Ms. Lowengard was awarded the National Pro Bono Week Award for outstanding contributions to Pro Bono and Access to Justice.
