Jon W. Brenizer
Jon W. Brenizer, graduated from Syracuse University in 1969. He received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Syracuse University College of Law in 1971. He is admitted to practice law before all courts in the State of New York, and before the United States District Court in the Northern District of New York.
Mr. Brenizer is a former Assistant District Attorney with Onondaga County District Attorney's office and has practiced exclusively in the area of Domestic Relations and Family Law for over 30 years and has lectured and written in this field for both the New York State Bar Association and the Onondaga County Bar Association on matrimonial practice skills, divorce, separation agreements, Family Court Practice, custody and visitation, and ethics. He has also lectured for the Children First Program. Attorney Brenizer is AV rated, the highest rating, by Martindale-Hubbell's Peer Review Rating System.*
He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and a past member of the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section and a past member of the Mediation Committee of the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. He is a member of the Onondaga County Bar Association and its Family Law Section. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Onondaga Pastoral Counseling Center, and a past member of the Official Board of the West Genesee United Methodist Church. He has been chosen as a New York Super Lawyer and a Top Lawyer in Upstate New York.
Mr. Brenizer has two daughters, both of whom are now married, and four grandchildren. During their formative years he was active in their scholastic, athletic, and religious upbringing, and is proud of their development as mature, independent young women. He values his relationship with his children and strives to protect such relationships of his clients.
